I am a newly employed lecturer in the General Studies unit of this great university. Prior to my appointment, I had taught Use of English courses at undergraduate level at the Centre for General Studies, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
In addition, I am currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of English, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, with the focus of my doctoral thesis being on the intersection of language and politics, particularly how language is used to serve persuasive and ideological purposes for political actors.
My research interests crisscross gender and sexuality studies, media and digital communication, political discourse, as well as English for Specific Purposes (ESP). I have journal articles as well as ongoing works, in these areas of research published in reputable journals.
